Dry Needling helps with increasing range of motion in joints, relaxing tight muscles, improving blood flow, reducing pain, improving strength, and can also speed up the recovery process from injury.
How does Dry Needling work?
Needles are placed in trigger points, tendons, ligaments, near nerves or tissue, and/or in areas where muscles are knotted or hard.
Is Dry Needling safe?
When done be a properly educated, experienced practitioner or therapist, dry needling is generally a safe treatment option.
What to expect at an initial treatment session?
During the evaluation the practitioner will apply pressure to the skin in around 16 different locations to test effectiveness, duration, and prognosis for utilizing dry needling. This will help the practitioner to figure out how many dry needles to be used.
How many sessions will I need to come?
Depending on the condition, treatments may be performed just once a week for 2-3 weeks. The majority of patients usually require 8 sessions or less. People with chronic pain will require more than acute pain.
